TD - has the claim on pink gear. I wear my wicked cycle shirts and hope to bring a few - GROVER with a cape.

Should there be pink and purple ribbons, break aways for sure on the helmet. THIS way you can see me in the trees. NO need to be stealth here. or the cranberry capilene.

Hope you meet you all - I will be in the white petzl helmet (he he). if that does not give me away - listen for the booming voice.

Moss, I imagine biking on site would be fine, as long as people stay on dry trails and avoid using in rain or in mud to prevent erosion ruts.

Thanks Harv, it's more likely I'll have my low impact walking cart, good to know the options.

Low impact climber here. Rope, harness and basic junk. Have not decided to bring the Tree boat.

11 Days left for me! I better get my gear together and packed!

Hmmm, do I need a bike? Should I bring a cart? How far are the trees?

The answer is is at http://www.gmap-pedometer.com I've been using this site to map running routes at work. It even shows you how many calories you burned.

Here's a route from the lodge, to what I think is the Cal-wood main gate. May need to zoom out a little to see the line between points.

Interesting. Though I'm not sure you'll be able to run a straight line over the actual terrain. Keep in mind that the main parking lot is due right (east) of the entrance to Cal-Wood as marked on your map (near a barn and other buildings there). So it is about 1/3 mile from the parking lot to the lodge. You are also welcome to drop off stuff near the cabins next to the lodge, then return to the parking lot.

HOW MANY DAYS NOW?

I did two short climbs in florida just to get ready and figure out gear.

So - what else do we need?

a book to read at the end of the day? (NOT) more fun chatting around the fire?

bring your log books = this is going to be memories for a life time.

Bring your pictures from previous Rendezvous years. I have not seen all of them and some are pretty good.
For many climbers this will be the first one but for some we have great memories of the previous years to share.
Wondering if I should bring my portable PC to show and tell. Nouht... too much junk!
Six more days for my departure!

what do you mean NO PC - I though there was a wireless connection setup in them trees - can't say no signal - what will I do without a 'puter for that many days - W I T H D R A W L - not good

anyway - Camera, 4 memory cards - well that MIGHT last me - for a day or 2 .

Joke is at work - they have a site in boulder and are setting up car pools and escorts to come get me at 5 so I can work second shift. SO - I really need to climb them trees HIGH so I can not be found.

Received my Rendezvous event and workshop schedule today from Harv, very exciting! I just want to say that Harv has been been doing such a great job organizing this event. No one should underestimate how much "free" labor he must be putting into this. A big thanks to Harv!
