TCI got this email announcement earlier this week. Really interesting organization! Congratulations, too!
CANOPY IN THE CLOUDS LAUNCHES
For the past three years, Drew, Greg, and Colin, have been working tirelessly to produce the premiere multimedia on tropical montane cloud forests.
Today, we would like to welcome you to explore Monteverde, Costa Rica with us as we have our official virtual launch at www.canopyintheclouds.com
At its heart, the website contains a series of interactive 360° panoramic images (including several captured in the forest canopy) with embedded “hotspots†about the forests and the plants and animals that live there. Additionally, we think we’ve got a sufficient number of videos, panoramas, and photographs to keep you distracted from work for quite a while. Spend some time learning about one of the world’s rarest and most beautiful ecosystems.
We'd like to take a moment to thank our numerous sponsors including the National Geographic Society’s Young Explorer Grant Program, the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program, the Tropical Science Center of Costa Rica, and the Monteverde Institute. Furthermore, we'd like to thank all of our other sponsors that have provided support through their services and equipment, including New Tribe, Petzl, Black Diamond, New England Ropes, Bogen, 360Precision, Think Tank Photo, Tree Trek Expeditions, AquaTech, and Pelican. This project never would have happened without your support.
Please take a few minutes to browse the website (http://www.canopyintheclouds.com) and pass it along to your colleuges, friends, and family. Additionally, please help us spread the word by following us on Twitter (@CanopyinClouds) and Facebook. Of course, we'd love to hear your feedback!
Saludos,
The Canopy in the Clouds Team
