There is now one other place the public can get good quality instruction by trained individuals in the art of Recreational Tree Climbing.
Don Stanford and Lance Williams, from Mississippi, just completed the 3 day Facilitators Course at Tree Climbers Internationals Founders Grove. After a few intense days of training Don and Lance took control of the intro. climb which is held every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. They helped facilitate about 15 first time climbers up into the canopy of Nimrod (a 100yr old white oak) doing an excellent job!
Tree Climbing Mississippi is located in Jackson and Oxford, keep your eyes and ears open as I know that their web page and trees will be up and climbing soon!!
Congrats. out to Don and Lance!
Thanks for helping to keep the spirit of the trees alive!

Lance and I learned to facilitate new climbers, not to instruct them to climb alone. The place to go for instruction is Atlanta. Contact TCI or TCUSA.

Don,
Will you and Lance be facilitating climbs open to the public? If so, when and where?
Thank you.

Congratulations on your new venture!

Scott Altenhoff has begun an organization in Southern Oregon called the Pacific Treeclimbing Institute. Tell him I sent ya if you take a class.
