First climb in a loong time

First climb in a loong time was created by Dean

I borrowed my buddies climbing gear today and went 20' up a 60' poplar tree, right below the first limbs. I should have gone to the top, but got a little nervous

. Maybe next weekend I'll go all the way.

Dean, is the TIP in the photo? That top branch looks pretty thin.

No, the rope is around a cluster of 3 limbs, the main one 3 inches thick and snug against the trunk. Heh, from the picture it looks like the tip limb is 1 inch thick.
