Gear test / 10ft climb in silver maple

I received my gear from WesSpur yesterday. I did an inspection and familiarization last night. The weather here was so good I wanted to do a quick test of the gear and gain a comfort level with everything. All in all it was a blast. The Petzl Sequoia is a really comfortable harness. I now have a bit of confidence in myself.

I have climbed up quite a few single ropes (military obstacle courses and such), so the biggest mental adjustment for me was moving the rope as opposed to moving myself up the rope.

For my next couple of climbs, my goal is to grab a number of widow makers out of my 3 maple trees.

Looks like you are on your way. Going up and down low and slow is a great way to learn. That looks like a great Silver Maple to learn in.
