An older climber once said this to me, “There are bold climbers, and there are old climbers. But there are no old, bold climbers.†Robert, you occur to me as a bold climber. I’ve hired and trained a lot of professional climbers in my 25 years as a tree contractor. You mentioned your respect for a fast climber that is now paralyzed for not being tied in while working and now you boast about being in a dead pine (dead pines kill more professional climbers than any other tree) and it took granny yelling at you to get you out of the tree. I think you are a prime candidate for natural selection. The grim reaper has an eye on you. You might think about another line of work if you want to live long.
