How much equipment do you really need to facilitate climbing days?
eg for a class of four- six ropes, four for the climbers one for the facilitator and one back up?
Has anyone bought rope by the reel 600ft or more?
Are ascenders kept on the ground for rapid rescue access?
What is a good flexible (in size) harness for children? Sherrills or Newtribe?

off the track a little, my climbing tree was very crowded this arvo had to share it with a family of bush turkeys!!

Cheers

Zion, Have you taken any of the classes for being a "Certified Facilitator"?

I would assume that the question of basic (minimal) gear requirements to facilitate a climb specially w/ kids would have been described in one of the classes. Some of the Facilitators regularly posting on the site would probably be able to offer some private suggestions about your requests.

Several of them have purchased line by the reel in order to be able to have several climbing lines at the same tree.

If I would consider "facilitating" specially if I charge I would seriously consider getting the "Facilitator " Classes and get certification first just to make sure that I covered all the potential emergencies scenarios just in case that something goes wrong during the climb.
