tree climbers out here

hi,
i just read an article on tree climbing and it sounds like something i would love to do! i was hoping that someone in here could direct me to a local chapter or tree climbers near me so i can take a trip up! i live in fresno, ca.

The best climbers I know anywhere around you are located about a half hour north of the California-Oregon line in Grants Pass, Oregon. They have a company called New Tribe (newtribe.com) that makes all kinds of goodies for recreational climbers and researchers, and they also like to take people way, way up into the tops of some of those fantastic coastal redwoods and other trees. I know it's a long drive from central California, but the experience will be worth the trip.
