Hey all. Awhile ago I came across this quote while looking through the board: "I’m discouraged that very few of you seem to have an interest in taking your climbing out into the forest"
And it begs me to question the distances or landscapes we travel to for a great climb, or any climb for that matter. I personally will travel anywhere from a few meters from my house up to a good hour hike for a tree I’ve spotted while bushwalking.
I can spend up to an entire day walking through the bush looking for a tree or to climb the next day.
So heres the question:
The typical distances we drive, hike or anything of the sort to the trees we climb?
And secondly:
Do the distances you travel affect the gear you take with you?
I personally take all my gear with me, no matter the distance, ‘just in case’ I get the urge to set up something while out bush.
