telescopic poles (Ascending tek)

If you get a copy of the Tree Climbers Companion and/or the Ascend Catalog from Sherrill you see some of these techniques clearly demonstrated and with graphics/diagram easy to read and learn.

I have got the book you mentioned and have just received Sherills catalogue in the mail box yesterday. Thanks much. I will have a good look over it all. I climbed the 2nd tallest Tulip tree in the U.K. yesterday and got to 6o feet. Long way to go to reach the top of this tree yet. Great challenge and a great way to get exercise. Damm nats or bugs bit my calves to death though. Suffering for it today.

Well - I got the pole and I got my line up to the branch I was wanting. I was a challenge working with it in the tree, but it was quick. I will only use it on very difficult to throw anchor points. If I can easily get a beanie throw done - I will! As I am getting to be a good shot. 1st time today!!
But some of these other far to reach - ackward with shrubbage in the way - well the pole will do the trick - no probs.
Thanks for asking though. I do think its worth having in ones artillary.
