Beginner in Marin

Does anyone know of how I might get some tree climbing instruction here or near Marin County?

This reply might be a little late... but Tim Kovar of Tree Climbing Planet is going to teach some classes in the Bay Area in March! Let me know if you want details. (I just sent you a similar private message, but I'm not positive it went through, and I guess there's no reason not to say so here.)

Buy the video form TCI and the books from Flowers and Jepson and you can get the basics before you attend a formal class. I learned a lot that way and the rest like they say is history 12 plus years of climbing now. Also try to meet a local Certified Arborist to see if they a willing to get you started.
