Anyone who thinks of climbing trees even in Central Park, Battery Park, or any park within New York City will seriously need to divert at once, as climbing trees in the park is a major no-no in New York City, and oftentimes, there are no warnings whatsoever. In April of 1999, a father was fined $1,000 without any warnings whatsoever when 2 of his kids and a friend climbed a tree in New York City's Central Park, located in Manhattan. The father fought the fine in court, even saying that no warnings were issued, but unfortunately, he still lost and had to pay the $1,000 fine.
