New in San Antonio

Hi All! Just found this group. I've been lurking on a few FB groups (mostly arborists) and learning a lot. I currently have a harness, helmet, throwline, just bought a line of rope and will be getting carabiners and a false crotch for starting on DRT with Blakes hitch. I've been practicing knots in my chair, and I'll bet going low and slow with my equipment for a little while in the learning curve. Anyone else in San Antonio? Would love to compare notes, maybe get together, especially when it comes to all the equipment that's out there. Thanks for being here!- Javi

Update - I’ve been climbing. Wound up with a hitch climber system that I love. I have a time lapse of my most recent ascent - not much for veteran climbers, I’m sure, but the highest I’ve ever been. Any way to post it? I’m climbing near my house 2-3 times a week, still looking for local climbers.

I have since been expanding my kit, and have taken an aerial rescue course put on by the San Antonio Arborist's Association. I've found a couple of sets of climbers, but most are production arborists and have limited rec climbing availability.
