This is a comment to the webmaster. It would be nice if I could navigate to a particular forum and then log in without needing to find my way back to that point. As it is you are repositioned at the home page and have to renavigate back to where you were. I can to step back using my browser history but it is slow.

The recent change providing a login on the side of the screen is indeed quicker and more convenient. I'm not sure it makes optimum use of the available screen space though, since it creates a long blank margin on the left.

Hi, Dave -

Unfortunately, the screen redirect after login is a global setting and affects all registered users.

We originally had no left column in order to maximize the space for the forum posts, but the items there are generally of value to forum viewers.

However, the real answer to your question...when you're in the forums as a Guest (not logged in), at the very top of the screen, just below the green \"TCI Message Board\" header is a link to log in.
